Nightlife
Nightlife and entertainment in Massachusetts, from swank nightclubs to sophisticated theater, offers something for everyone. In Boston, you can pass the night away at one of the largest gay dance parties on the east coast—Epic Saturdays at the House of Blues - or get lost in the wonderment of the world famous Boston Symphony Orchestra. Gay nightlife is concentrated in the South End of Boston, but any trip to JFK Street in Cambridge or Centre Street in Jamaica Plain reveals that the city is full of gay-friendly restaurants, bars and cafés. Nightlife, however, doesn’t stop at the doorstep of Boston. Provincetown attracts the country’s most prolific drag and cabaret performers (Margaret Cho is known make lengthy stops here). Every second Friday, Northampton Arts Night Out makes the city come to life with more than 20 art galleries that stay open late and offer refreshments. Worcester’s Hanover Theater plays home to a mix of nationally renowned theater, music and comedy tours. From coast to mountains, when the sun sets in Massachusetts, a world of fun awaits.
