The NLGJA Comes to Boston!
The National Lesbian & Gay Journalist Association (NLGJA), a prestigious organization of journalists, media professionals, educators, and students founded in 1990, is hosting its 9th National Convention and LGBT Media Summit here in Boston!
From Thursday, August 22 to Sunday, August 25, more than 350 journalists and communication professionals will be traveling from all over the United States to come together at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers for this four-day summit and intensive workshop for the most influential members of the LGBT and mainstream media.
The assembly will start with the Media Summit on August 22, and the next two days will be packed with more than 40 workshops addressing the needs of journalists and communications professionals. There will also include such networking opportunities as receptions, a woman’s networking dinner, and the NJGJA Summer Student Project, and much more.

The NLGJA is headquartered in DC and devoted to fostering fair and accurate coverage of LGBT issues while opposing all forms of workplace bias and providing professional development to its members. Anyone from students to professionals can become involved in the NLGJA.
